Visita a Arizona State University y participación en el CIES 2025

Over the past couple of weeks, our Chair has gathered valuable insights from other parts of the world. First, Carla enjoyed an immersive visit to Arizona State University, where she took part in several activities with the amazing team at the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College for Teaching and Learning Innovation, and particularly with those involved in the Education for Planetary Futures project. These were days of deep inspiration and unforgettable conversations, shared with dear and deeply ADMIRED colleagues such as Gustavo Fischman — a spectacular host and member of the Scientific Committee at our @Resides — and Iveta Silova, always hand in hand withVictoria Desimoni, a generous and wonderful partner in this and future shared adventures…
Then, at the 2025 edition of CIES in Chicago, Axel Rivas and Ezequiel Gómez Caride and Carla presented the team's work on sustainability in Latin American curricula and policies in an amazing panel, shared with Oren Pizmony-Levy from Teachers College at Columbia University, and also Aaron Redman from our dear MECCE project, with the special participation of Dr. Aaron Benavot. We also enjoyed insightful feedback from Marcia McKenzie, whose work we’ve followed with admiration for years, and with whom we have shared some projects too.
These kinds of shared experiences with colleagues from around the world remind us that many of us are united by a passion for advancing sustainability through education, nurturing our commitment with our everyday work at UdeSA and the partners with whom we are honoured to share our this path.
